So i see that China is taking the opporunity to hit hard at American regulations and culture lately.

A new statement by the People’s Bank of China lambastes financial regulators around the world for missing the warning signs leading up to the current crisis and dismisses the notion that markets can regulate themselves.

The 2,500-word essay published on the PBOC’s Web site late Thursday did not single out the U.S. or European regulatory agencies by name, but identified Enron and WorldCom as “debacles” that should have been red flags for more supervision.

“The evolution of the crisis demonstrated that due to the profit-driven nature of market players, market forces, if unchecked, will lead to asset bubbles and ultimately a disastrous market clearing in the form of a financial crisis like the current one,” the statement said.

It did, however, specifically mention problems the Chinese central bank sees with U.S. corporate culture.

The corporate culture seems much different in Asian countries compared to here in the states.

I watched a news report comparing an airline CEO from japan and the US. There were some very hefty differences between them.

Yeah I have noticed some very difference aspects in terms of mentality. The Japanese are very individualist yet co-operative, they keep coming out technology that continues to be impressive.

The Chinese I personally are very efficient but I think because of their government structure they really don’t get to use some of their best talent. They speak with one voice for what they want but I sometimes wonder if that is really what they all want, rather than just a select few.

I have found India to be rather unorganized and down right feudal at times. I went there a few years ago with an uncle who wanted to setup an exporting business there and it was really cut throat.
