Good Will
is a financial measure of intangible assets like a logo or brand recognition. Goodwill can be a contentious issue when trying to value a company because it can be evaluated subjectively. Goodwill is the difference between the book value of a company and the price of the company if sold. For instance it is difficult to place a value on the reputation and recognition of the Starbuck’s logo or the Nike ‘swoosh.’
