7-Eleven’s parent company has struck a $21 billion deal to buy the Speedway chain, which has locations in the Buffalo Niagara region…..SORRY it went Private in 2005 .. but what will it do to Couche-Tard? …. and Who knew 7-Eleven’s parent company had $21 Billion just sitting around in CASH!!!! Be AWARE of these Private Companies … they sometimes have VERY DEEP pockets!!!

Hi Carl,

Not sure if you have a question here, but Alimentation Couche-Tard still remains a very strong company despite missing out on the Speedway chain. Alimentation walked away from the Caltrex Australia deal earlier this year and has now been bid out on Speedway. You can be glass half empty saying the company is missing out, or you can be glass half full and be thankful the company isn't willing to pay any price to grow the business. It remains disciplined and this bodes well for shareholders.

Mat
