AFN has taken a sharp hit over the past couple of days. Is it a buy at current levels?

Thank you for your prompt reply. I will probably see if that short term jump happens and then sell at a loss. Same thing for SUNCOR which I think is what you are doing.

I'll generally avoid companies that have recently cut their dividend.

I know it's COVID-19, and we should give a pass to some companies, but we actually spotted the risky dividend in AFN last year and relayed it to members. Even with this drop in price, its trading above its 5 year historical averages in terms of forward price to earnings, highlighting that earnings are very likely to continue dropping.

Now, is the current selloff overdone? It's a possibility. The company has a 14 day RSI of 33, indicating it's very close to oversold territory. There is the potential for a short term price jump, but long term I wouldn't be holding this company.
