Aging Population ETF

Can you recommend an ETF that invests in companies positioned to benefit from the global trend of an aging population? Specifically, a Canadian dollar ETF that focus on sectors like healthcare, pharmaceuticals, senior living facilities, and/or other areas that serve the needs of older individuals?

And if you were to look at senior living facilities alone, which of the following Canadian stocks do you prefer? NHW-UN.TO EXE.TO CSH-UN.TO or SIA.TO

The only fund I could think of in Canada that could potentially grab this is Harvest Healthcare Leaders Income ETF (TSE:HHL). Other than that, we don't really have any funds here that do it. Canada is such a small market, this would be a very niche ETF and it's unlikely for a fund manager to take this on.

Even south of the border there isn't too many of these. The only one I could screen for is Global X's aging population ETF. It trades under the ticker AGNG. It has a relatively low AUM of just $57M and hasn't performed all that well, primarily because of its large exposure to pharma companies.

For senior living facilities, they aren't really my cup of tea so I haven't looked at them in-depth. I try to avoid the whole care giving for profit situation, as I feel there is some conflicts of interest there that I haven't wanted to get involved in.

However, on the surface, Sienna is often the best player in this space in Canada. But it is still struggling quite a bit operationally in a post-pandemic environment.

What are your thoughts on HHL as a long-term hold?
