I noticed you dropped air canada from this weeks list of stocks, would you recommend selling before it earnings report?

To add to this. Anything could move a stock in or out of the top stocks in our growth screener.

For Air Canada, it's actually gained 9.29% since the end of January, so it's possible that our screener doesn't find the "value" criteria of Air Canada to be as strong.

Now if you head here to see the more in-depth metrics on our growth screener:

https://www.stocktrades.ca/premium/our-growth-stock-screeners/

You can see that Air Canada is still on the first page, it just dipped a bit.

Ah well those lists change weekly and are dependent on an number of factors. As a reminder they are strictly based on an algorithm that takes into account several indicators - it does not take into account macro events or other factors that could potential impact its share price. As such, stocks pop in and out all the time.

Hi there,

Not sure what you are referring to dropping it from our stocks? It it not one we have recommended since the pandemic and in fact, we have advised against jumping into the company. The airline industry has too many headwinds and uncertainties right now and while AC is a rebound candidate, they don't expected pre-pandemic level traffic until 2023. Even when we exit this pandemic, AC will exit with a mountain of debt which will be another reason to avoid the stock - at least for the time being.

We'd like to see more certainty here, see that travel is trending back to normal before we'd consider investing in the company. That may mean missing out on a rebound pop, but we are ok with that.
