I just answered a question on Blackberry - so I'll post my answer below. I can't really tell you to sell or hang on - but here are my thoughts on the company. In short, it is making the right moves but uncertainty remains.

IMO, there still exists quite a bit of uncertainty around Blackberry. The recent surge seems to be linked to the rumours of a patent litigation settlement with Facebook - which no details have yet to be released. According to a court filing the ""The parties are in the process of implementing a global settlement agreement that will resolve all claims and counterclaims in this action."
It could be a meaningful deal, but nothing is certain until details are released. It could also be a case of buy or rumour sell on news. Blackberry is a company that has had mixed results in the past few years, both in terms of execution and price action. Will this changing moving forward? Perhaps, especially if it can find a way to unlock value in is treasure trove of patents. This is still company in transition and the company is making progress. As an example, last quarter it grew its SaaS revenue by 26% YoY.
Overall, it is on the right track but I'd prefer to see more clarity on outlook and how recent partnerships (such as the one with Amazon) will contribute to company outlook.
