Corporate account

I have 400K in my Corporate account and have already put half in ZLB and was thinking of 50K in VSP which is CAD hedged SP500 and another 50 in ZMU
which is CAD hedged corporate us bonds – but I am not sure about bonds at this time
and the last 100K in a high dividend income etf like XDIV which is CAD – but I don’t know if I should get a high dividend income etf in CAD that tracks USD companies.
Any other suggestions?

I don't mind ZMU, but it is likely going to be one fund in a suite of funds in terms of fixed income. This is because it only targets mid-term bonds, maturing anywhere from 5-10 years. That is around 95% of the portfolio. Unless you are specifically targeting mid-term maturing bonds. If that's the case, it is a great fund to get the job done.

If your focus is income, I do like XDIV. The only thing I'd worry about here is your portfolio in this situation would be very heavily concentrated in Canadian equities. This might be appropriate for your overall goals but I simply do not know.

I imagine this is why you're asking about a CAD hedged high income fund that targets US companies. One of the better Canadian listed US dividend paying funds I can think of is ZDY. It contains around 105 US listed companies that pay dividends. The only difficulty there is it might not hit your yield benchmark, and it is also unhedged. Their hedged version is ZUD.
