Current Standpoints on XBC and GRN

You guys (i.e., Dant and Mat) haven’t updated your standpoint on XBC, especially after the recent company issues and disappointing earnings report.

What do you currently think about XBC? And a related question: what is your current stance on GRN?

Thanks.

wondering what the situation is on GRN? I am always hoping for it to gain its momentum - but that downwards trend well.... Thoughts? take the loses and run or hold?

Of note, in regard to the company's issues (when they had to revamp financial statements), I'm not sure if you received the e-mail but we removed it from the Bull List and sent an e-mail out to subscribers before the markets opened on the morning of.

I'm continuing to hold XBC. My average price is in the low $8 range, and this is a stock I'm essentially going to tuck into my portfolio and see how 2021 plays out. Like Mat says, this is a show me stock right now, so I will give them the next year to do just that.

Hey there,

Our standpoint hasn't changed on XBC since they pre-announced the issues. This show me stock and it will need to execute on expectations before the market warms up to them again. It will no longer command higher multiples just because it is operating in a high growth industry. We are in wait and see mode - not much has changed there.

In terms of GRN - I own it - and like it but the entire industry has been dragged down by XBC and the PLUG Power issues. It is also getting swept up in the downward momentum in high growth stocks. Patience will be required once again, but I do like it for the long term. It had a very strong 2020 and the XBC issues were internal control issues, has nothing to do with GRN and its ability to execute. All 7 analysts that cover the company rate it a strong buy and have a one-year price target of 2.96. While i think that may be optimistic, I think it is well positioned from strong growth.

Mat
