Enbridge or Pembina?

If Biden wins the election, which company might be negatively impacted. Like (you) I have some CNQ to turn over. Should I look at Pembina or Enbridge? I already own both and can add to them. Interesting times in a couple of weeks for Canada as a result of down south.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

I actually own both PPL and ENB has well. I think in general, any negative impact will be short lived. I know Biden is anti-pipes, but we are still very much reliant on fossil fuels, and there will still be a need for pipelines. Statistically, it is still safer than by rail.

It will likely mean some of these major projects through the states will be put on hold, but i see these are short-term headwinds. At this point, I am not adding to my positions because of the uncertainty, but am not selling either. They pay reliable and sustainable dividends, which are underpinned by long-term contracts.

At the start, a blue wave was seen as a negative for the markets. Now, they are saying it may be a positive. You know what that means? No one really knows what will happen. What we do know is that there is still considerable uncertainty and which will likely remain even weeks after the election is over.
