But in the Long Term ;we are all dead.as are many companies that we are advised to hold for the "Long Term".

I am not sure what you mean by that. You mean the companies we now own will be dead over the long-term? It is fairly easy to have this level of thinking while the markets fall, but realistically the vast majority of corporations will be just fine over the long-haul.

The tariffs were extremely hard to predict by many economists, primarily due to Trump's tendencies to change his mind over the course of an afternoon.

Nothing has really changed for me, and for most retail investors nothing should change if their time horizon is long. Accumulate strong companies over the long-term and reap the benefits.

Could the regulatory changes in the US pose issues over the short-term? Absolutely. It's why I'm holding on to a little more cash than I normally would. However, this too shall pass, much like any of the other issues on the market have in the past.
