It is a solid bank, but I will admit I don't know a lot about banking regulations in UK, Hong Kong, etc so I have tended to avoid most all banks located outside of North America.

Canadian banks have heavily outperformed it on a long-term basis and I am more comfortable investing in those based on the fact I know the regulations, know the environment, etc.

The banking regulations of those countries is not something I'd be able to become comfortable with over a short period of time so I do apologize on not being able to provide a more comprehensive answer.
