Hello, would like your thought on holding this etf to get expose to some of the big compagnie in the US, since i don’t have a portfolio big enough yet to buy these compagnie individually. is this a good etf to hold in my tfsa? from what i have read on the fact sheet “HXQ is not expected to make taxable distributions and would not be subject to U.S. withholding tax or estate tax.

any other etf that you feel would be better?

Thank you!

In terms of withholding tax, you won't see any with this ETF. So in that regard yes, it's perfect for a TFSA as it has no distribution that would be subject to the tax.

If you're looking for some strong exposure to the big name tech stocks down south like Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, Google etc than this is definitely a strong option. You can also buy it in either CAD or USD.

With fees of 0.28%, it is also cheaper than BMO's variant (ZQQ at 0.35%) and iShares variant (XQQ at 0.39%).
