Is it time to lighten up on BDT.to

Purchasing BDT in RRSP at max on 6% match ESOP for 5 years now. Should I sell vested shares to diversify?

Hi there,

That is certainly a personal decision that only you could make. That said, BDT is now trading at all time highs and while valuations are certainly a little above average, it still isn't that expensive.

The real question is whether or not you are comfortable with BDT accounting for a major percentage of your portfolio or if you'd rather diversify since it is more inline with your risk tolerance. That is what the question boild down to - risk tolerance. If you do sell a % now, you'd be doing at peak prices not seen in decades. Sure, it can move up even further, but once again this boils down to your comfort level. I never fault anyone for taking profits and re-distributing elsewhere if it lines up with their investment goals.
