Hey there,

At this point, it all depends on if you want a position in Agnico Eagle or not. If you decided to keep, your KL shares will change to AEM at the deemed acquisition rate of 0.7935 of an Agnico Eagle common share for each Kirkland Lake common share held. Both myself and Dan (I'm pretty sure he has) have decided to keep our KL shares as we do like gold exposure and believe the new company will be well positioned to deliver strong results.

We really like KL's assets and by owning AEM we'll benefit from these assets. AEM also has excellent assets in safe jurisdictions and overall, we think there will be many synergies to be had as the deal appears to be complimentary. AEM also pays a nice dividend and has also been growing the dividend in recent years (much like KL). Overall, we like the deal and as a result are happy to be transitioning to becoming AEM shareholders.

If you choose this, there is nothing you physically have to do as your broker will take care of all the details and once the deal officially closes, your KL shares will simple become AEM shares.
