High quality company, but one I have never really felt the need to invest in because I do prefer Brookfield. They're two very different companies but similar in broad strokes.
Brookfield is more of an asset manager plus infrastructure play. I like the diversity. KKR is a pure-play capital allocator. One is likely to be more cyclical than the other (KKR more cyclical than Brookfield).
While KKR is primarily an investment manager, Brookfield directly operates numerous businesses in addition to managing capital. Both of them will earn the bulk of their earnings through fees etc, they just get there a bit differently, and I prefer the way Brookfield gets there.
