What do you think of this company now? Share price is down more than 50% since I initiated a position and I am not sure to wait or to exit.

Hey there,

I owned NTAR for a while, but after a series of disappointments I exited my position. The company is not delivering against expectations and it may be too early in its lifecycle to know if it will be successful or not. The company's momentum has been stalled significantly, and it will need some sort of catalyst to send its share price higher. Maybe a big earnings quarter, or big revenue generating contract. It has been winning lots of smaller contracts, but these aren't enough to solidify investor interest. It will need something bigger and more sustainable.

Worth noting, its not just NTAR but the augmented reality industry in general that is struggling. Its competitors are also down quite significantly in recent months. It is following many other high-flying industries like virtual care, renewables, plant-based meat, etc which got bid up significantly and are now taking a pause. Investors have shifted out of riskier plays and into more reliable investments. Not to say NTAR is a bad company, if the industry gains momentum again then the company is well positioned.

This is the reality of investing in small caps - big ups and big downs and whether you can stand the volatility will be a true testament of your risk profile. The main reason why i exited my position, is because i wanted to free up cash to invest in something else as I felt it may be a little too early in the game and that the investment thesis may take longer to play out than I had initially anticipated.
