HI Rob,
Sorry for the delay, it looks like this one slipped past us. I noticed, the stock price us by more than 100% over the past few months, but this is likely do to the momentum in the metals industries.
Silver Elephant is still in the exploration and development stage. It's flagship project is the Gibellini Vanadium project. It also has a few other projects in varying stages of development. Gibellini would be the first vanadium mine in the U.S and has the capacity to produce 10 million pounds of vanadium annually.
The mine is notable because at the moment, U.S. consumers must import the metal. Being the first vanadium mine will certainly be an accomplishment.
Earlier this week, the company announced its intentions to prepare and Environmental Impact Study (EIS). Although an important milestone, this process takes at least a year and then assuming it gets the green light, would still require 18-months of construction before fully commissioned.
IN other words, it likely be another 3 years before the company is actually producing. This means, that there are likely to be several equity raises over this period, and it is likely to be highly volatile. Furthermore, any hiccups throughout the approval process may send the stock price crashing.
Bottom line, this is a speculative play with a long way to go before Gibellini starts contributing to the bottom line. This is for the high-risk investors with a long-term timeframe.
