Struggling with exit strategy…

Down 64% with FOOD so far. Like the company but with the current trend I do not see how I could recup my losses before in the mid term. I am a little overweight in techno but wondering if Lightspeed would not be a better “investment/opportunity” at this level….risk for risk…but again, with the current context which is not too favorable to techo….struggling! However, company for company, even with the suspicion brought by the bad report, growth perspective seems better with Lightspeed. Conclusion: It would be a good move to sell FOOD and buy LSPD, and it would minimize the “soap bar effect” (ref.: the more you handle it, the smaller it gets).
Does it make sense? Is it sounded?
(ya, not too easy to “crystallize” a significant lost)
Thanks.

In today environment where inflation seems to be out of control. Look to acquiring fundamental stocks. If you sell FOOD chose one of those stocks and hold it forever.

Thank you for your feedback...I really feel overweight in techno but the dip of Lightspeed is really tempting. In terms of pure weight in my portofolio (without emotion), I guess the dip of DOO or MG might make more sense for me.
Have a great weekend.

Obviously everyone's portfolio is specific to their own needs, but I ended up parting ways and selling FOOD after their most recent quarter (we noted it in an e-mail as well). The sharp fall from the company was from some pretty drastic results (in a bad way). People expected slowing growth coming out of the pandemic but nobody expected shrinking growth.

The issue with your idea of selling FOOD and buying LSPD however is the fact you've already mentioned you're overweight tech. So, you're likely making a current problem even worse.

Obviously, with me selling FOOD myself, I'm not going to say it's a bad idea to sell FOOD. The company had some large hiccups and has lost a lot of investor confidence. However, if you feel you're overweight tech buying more tech might be the wrong way to go about it.
