Telecoms

Hi Dan, I just read your report on BCE. I was wondering why QBR isn’t compared with the group of telecoms? I noticed that it’s not categorized as such in your screener as well. If it can be compared to the others, do you like it better than BCE? I have Telus already….although I could keep adding to that. Thanks for your thoughts!

That's so funny! I thought it didn't seem like your style of writing, and indeed it wasn't!

Thanks for saving your top picks for Premium members! It's a shame that BCE hasn't been a great stock to own over the years.

When you mention picks on your Youtube channel, should we look for a similar alternative here on Premium as your favourite choice?

Thanks so much!

Hey there.

First off, that is Dylan writing that piece, not me. He mixed up the author selection when publishing the piece. It's been fixed.

Dylan is a co-owner here at Stocktrades who handles a lot of stuff, as well as being an avid DIY investor himself. I don't write for the regular blog side too too much, as Premium takes up most all of my time.

Secondly, we try to avoid all mentioning's of Bull List stocks. Quebecor has excellent returns. If we put it on that chart, it would have dwarfed the returns of the Big 3 and maybe got people looking into it when we want to reserve it for Premium members.

Also, as for Quebecor in the screener, good eye on that. We get this data from Zacks, and sometimes they mix up the sectors a bit. We'll get it fixed.

I like Quebecor as a growth play, as well as a dividend growth play over BCE. BCE has been relatively abysmal in terms of returns over the last while. Although, lots are attracted to it because of its high yield. Telus (I own) and Quebecor are definitely my two favorite plays in the sector.
