Thoughts on Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp?

Algonquin is one we like quite a bit - renewable in general have taken a pretty hard hit recently, same goes for utilities. The threat of rising rates scares investors away from high-capex industries as it costs them more to borrow. However, this is temporary and AQN is well positioned to grow over the coming years. I'd be more worried about companies in these spaces that aren't growing - as they will likely struggle.

You can check out our report on AQN in the Dividend Bull List section - we just updated it after last earnings earlier this month. Bottom line we like it and think it provides excellent value here. Of note, I own AQN and actually bought more on this downtrend.
