It is a solid fund but I do think it is going to need to lower fees to remain competitive. BMO has come out with ZGLD which has a little under half the fees.
There hasn't been much competition in the space because of the lack of interest in gold, but now that more ETFs are popping up, Sprott might need to get more competitive on the fee side of things.
