UFS is in an interesting position.
It used to be a reliable dividend stock, but as you pointed out it suspended the dividend which has yet to be re-instated. There are also rumours that the company is looking to sell itself. It has already sold its personal care business, and it seems as though that may just be the first step.
If their intention is to sell, its unlikely they will return to becoming a reliable dividend paying company. It may simply use excess cash to buyback shares, which it did recently when it bought back $200M worth of shares using the cash it raised from the sale of its personal care business.
If your goal is to generate income, then this may no longer be a good hold. I say this with the caveat that nothing is certain, and who knows it may not sell and reinstate that dividend. But, if the intention is to sell then I see no reason for them to re-instated that dividend.
