Is there a US equivalent to this ETF with similar growth and yield? It doesnt matter if the ETF is in USD or CDN.Thanks!

I imagine by US equivalent you mean a basket of higher yielding US dividend stocks? Or do you mean you want a US fund that tracks high yielding Canadian payers? I'm going to assume the former.

Have a look at something like FDVV. It kind of mixes in a bit of growth plays that still pay out dividends, which gives the fund a bit of a growth edge. Still has a reasonable yield of 3.3%.

The one thing here is you are likely not going to get similar yields south of the border because US equities often yield lower than our blue-chip equities. Most of our companies are slower growing, mature companies with high yields.

If you want to stick with Vanguard, VYM is probably the most equal to VDY. Instead of it being a Vanguard High Yielding Canadian fund, it's a Vanguard High Yielding US Fund. However, it does not yield as much as FDVV. But, I'd focus more on quality overall than just yield.
