Is there a Canadian version of this ETF you would recommend?

Unfortunately there is no equivalent. The closest you'll get is something like VXC, which is a global ETF that skips Canadian exposure. From there, you could definitely tweak your overall allocations to include something like VXC and then whatever Canadian ETF or individual stocks you wanted to hold.

Lots of overlap there. VXC is 50%~ large cap US stocks, of which the bulk of them are included in VOO. I'm not sure there is too much need to own VOO if you own VXC

It is a solid fund for international exposure outside of North America yeah.
