VYMI is a more broad based approach to higher yielding international funds while VIGI concentrates the portfolio more into dividend growers.

VIGI has a bit more exposure to Japan and Canada, markets that have generally struggled over the last while and it hasn't really kept up to the solid performance of VYMI.

VIGI is also much more concentrated in defensive sectors like healthcare, which have really struggled coming out of the pandemic.

Both of these funds are solid to be honest. I lean towards something like VYMI because it's a bit broader based. I don't typically like funds that target companies based solely on yield, but VYMI looks to be one that does a good job at doing so.

The only thing is on the flip side, a lot of the struggling areas for VIGI, if sentiment turns around in those areas, I could see it being a relatively strong performer moving forward. I'd say personal preference. Do you like the dividend growth or do you like the higher yields. Over the long term (10 years +) these funds have performed relatively the same.
