Hi Gayle,

While both are in the healthcare sector and do compete in one area, they are two very different companies. WELL Is far more established and has clinicis, virtual care and EMR platforms. Lifespeak is a self-care pureplay - in that its products are aimed at self help and well being. I'd actually consider Newtopia and recently IPO'd Dialogue as more direct competitors.

The company is seeing impressive growth and is currently generating positive EBITDA. At IPO, it had forward annual recurring revenue of $21M which increased to $22.9M as of last quarter. While it did increase by 132% YoY, it only represented 9% growth QoQ. Is it a sign that growth is slowing? Not too concerned at the moment but worth monitoring. Here is a link to their investor IPO presentation that provides more details on what they do:

LSPK is currently trading at 25 times sales and 18.16 times ARR - this is among the most expensive in the industry at the moment. If one compares to Dialogue which is growing at a similar pace, LSPK currently commands a pretty hefty premium. As the newest IPO in the industry, I'd expect it to undergo significant volatility. Case in point, it dropped to $7.20 per share in the first weeks of IPO and is now up to $8.75 per share - that is a 20%+ swing in a matter of days. I'd expect more of this as the markets digests its IPO. Also worth noting, the virtual health industry as a whole is suffering from some post-pandemic swoons as investors try and understand whether or not they can sustain a high level of growth.
