Hey there Shail.
As you know, it's pretty much impossible for us to suggest any sort of individual advice. Just because we know nothing about your situation, goals etc. Those stocks could make up 80% of your total portfolio, and in that case it could be a situation where absolutely, you'd need to liquidate because you have extensive risk. Or, it could be 5% of your total portfolio, and it's not as big of an issue.
It's impossible for us to tell, and us giving you direct buy/sell advice would be, in reality, unethical.
However, have no problem providing an opinion.
InterPipeline and Suncor are going to struggle moving forward in terms of price simply because of their dividend cuts. Right now, they're offering somewhat attractive price levels but as we can see here, you are currently in the hole quite a bit. By "struggle" I essentially mean you are likely not going to see your purchase price for a while. I can't see either company recovering to pre-covid prices with the current environment.
Canadian Natural, Enbridge and Pembina are still solid companies. At least out of this oil and gas exposure, you've got some exposure to industry leaders. I much prefer TC Energy in terms of a pipeline play, but I don't think holding Enbridge or Pembina over TC is a deal breaker.
I don't know much about Arc, but what I do know is the bulk of their production is natural gas, and this is why the stock has held up admiringly well. It has a strong balance sheet, and should perform better than a junior oil and gas company focused on oil production.
Overall, I've seen a lot worse in terms of exposure to oil and gas. However, would I expect this portion of your portfolio to underperform moving forward? Yes, it's likely.
I currently own ENB, SU, TRP and CNQ, and plan to sell off holdings eventually so my only exposure is to TRP and CNQ. I personally want oil and gas to make up less than 2.5% of my overall portfolio moving forward. I'll transition this allocation towards renewable plays.
As to when I do this, I'm not sure. I see some recovery left in the sector as we finally get back to normalcy. But my long term goal is to rid myself of most holdings in the sector.
