23andMe…

Hello. First time posting. What are your thoughts about investing in 23andMe?? I work as a Therapist and use Outdoor Recreational activities as a platform for sessions, interventions, etc. The ‘futuristic’ therapeutic application has amazing broad possibilities. Anyway, I’d like to buy some on opening day, but I can NOT find a date for when they’re going to be available, let alone someone in Canada to pre-invest in them. Do I just buy into VG Acquisition Corporation??

Shawn.

HI Shawn,

Yes, since this SPAC is listed in the U.S., there is no way for Canadians to get in on the pre-public phases of this listing. The only way for you to get exposure today, is to buy into VG Acquisition corp (NYSE:VGAC).So in effect, they are already listed in a way through VGAC now. Mind you the deal still needs to close and there is a risk that if it doesn't, the VGAC shares will be back to the drawing board in terms of which company to bring public. Assuming all goes through, then VGAC will just become 23andMe.

I've invested in US SPACs before and once the deal closes, all that happens is that your VGAC shares would turn into 23andMe shares and whatever symbol it decides to trade under.
