52 week highs

Hello, Dan

I am a little confused about 52 week highs. is is advisable to wait until a price of a stock or etf is lowered before investing? There are so many great investments but many of them are at their highest.

Hey there. There is zero doubt the markets are expensive on a relative valuation basis. For me, I continually buy stocks on a dollar cost average basis which allows me to even out the ebbs and flows of the markets overall. Sometimes I will be buying stocks at 52 week highs but sometimes I will be buying them at 52 week lows.

If we are investing for the long-term, prices over the course of a year should be irrelevant to us unless valuations have simply gotten out of control. We are expensive yes, but I don't think we're in any sort of bubble condition expensive, so I do continue to buy, all while having a small cash position on the side to deploy into any abnormal price weakness.
