basic materials

I have no exposure in basic materials, and have been watching closely the past few weeks trying to decide which stocks to add to my portfolio. Now that there seems to be renewed interest in this sector, what would your top 3 picks be today considering potential growth opportunity over the next few years ? I’ve been looking at a few sources for recommendations, but I’m finding this a really difficult group to nail down and would appreciate a dart or two if you’re willing to offer a really short list.

Thanks Dan, I picked up LIF this past week and looking at covering a few of the other listed commodities with stocks like, NTR - ABX - KL - CAS - FNV are the other ones I'm looking at, too much to buy into all of them for me right now, even FNV is a little pricey, but I would like to start getting some of these into my holdings, what would be the best one(s) to start with. Anything similar you want to suggest would be great. regards

Hey there. Basic materials is pretty broad. The sector can contain anything from gold producers, silver producers, copper producers to even fertilizer companies like Nutrien.

Let me know where you're looking particularly, and I could narrow some things down.
