Hi Dan,
I noticed that you have BH in your portfolio. When I look it up there are different stocks under BH and different prices. Which one is the right one for a smaller budget investor like me?
Thanks,

Michael RayBould

Hey there Michael. BRK.B is the one you'll want to own in USD. They made this class of share to make the price a bit more attractive for retail investors.

In terms of other ones, you are likely looking at BRK.A which has the mega price ($600,000+) which you can ignore, and BRK.NE. BRK.NE is the Canadian Depository Receipt. This means you buy the stock in Canadian Dollars and have fractional ownership of the USD shares, and along with this it is currency hedged. Just know that those CDRs do have a currency hedging fee of 0.6% annually.

I noticed that there is a BRK.C as well. Any info on that? I really appreciate the answers.
