Hi Dan, new member, signed up for a year subscription ans so far enjoying the web site. Nice of you to say, I did create a discord account but not sure I am ready for all that exchange and reading, so the Q and A will be for me a good start. So, since I am a new investor(just retired ) so a bit more time to read and understand stuff, I started my portfolio two months ago…. When the market started to crash lol. With the reading you guys have provided to me, I will make ajustments to my portfolio when I regain losses from the ETF I invested in. Beeing said, I also have some stocks with dividend since the goal is to have an additionnal revenue. I looked at all the fondamental and other lists. I invested in Capital power Corp (CPX) and i did not see that company on your list. It is dooing good since I invested ( about one month). Do you think I should consider keeping and investing more in that stock.

Welcome aboard! Discord does take some getting used to but once you get the hang of it, you'll enjoy it. In the meantime, this is the perfect spot!

Capital Power (CPX) was actually on our lists a couple of years back. We like the company and think it is a good utility that gives on exposure to both renewable and regulated industries. It is a company I own, and continue to own. While it does have additional risk compared to a company such as Fortis (FTS), it has performed exceptionally well. It has also met its posted targets and has a growing and stable dividend. The company also recently announced that it expects to meet or exceed the tope end of 2002 guidance for adjusted EBITDA and adjusted FFO.

I'd have no concerns holding on to this one and as mentioned, it is one I own and intend to keep. I like the company's growth profile and it has a strong history of execution.
