CCL.B vs CAS

My question is there buying oppertunity to get short term return in any stock after annoucement of vaccine? like Air canada , cineplex or any other one....what should be stretgy to after pandemic ends

Hi Martin (assuming based on username),

Both are in fact, excellent companies. Cascades was actually one of our Bull List picks and was recently removed as it shot up above $16.00 per share. Now that it has consolidated, it once again provides excellent value. Both companies are also trading at a high-teen discount to analysts one-year average. On the basis of value alone (all other factors including growth and dividend excluded), I think Cascades has the edge.

Although both pay a dividend - CCL's has an impressive dividend growth streak and is an Aristocrat. On the flip side, Cascades has went many years with a stagnant dividend. If steady and growing income is your goal, then CCL is the clear standout.

In terms of growth, Cascades has higher potential but also carries additional risk as it is more volatile than CCL. Neither however, stand out in terms of growth expectations over the next couple of years.

All this to say - I'd go with CCL if income was your main objective. If your looking to get the best company at the best price? My option would be CAS.
