Hey there. The company provides chemicals/fluids in regards to the oilfield and drilling. We've seen the company capture much more market share in the United States, which is ultimately fueling earnings. Despite rocky crude prices, production remains relatively strong and in that case there is going to be extended demand for CES's products.
Overall, this is not my cup of tea when it comes to investments. It's a bit too cyclical for me. But there is no doubt the company has performed exceptionally well on the back of a post-pandemic tailwind when it comes to oil and energy demand. I don't view it as overly expensive at this point, but I also don't view it as the bargain it was.
