Data in Screeners Very Different than Elsewhere?

I was looking through the key data screener and a couple of companies caught my eye with very attractive numbers. But when I looked elsewhere (Yahoo, QuickFS, Finviz) your numbers are considerably different than everywhere else. For example, STN.TO you have as having an EV/EBITDA of 1.77, whereas everywhere else it is between 14 and 16, and you have ROE being a whopping 194.90, and everywhere else it is around 9. I realize they may be looking at different periods or something, but your numbers are so radically different from other sites that I’m just trying to understand where they come from or if they can be considered reliable and useful. I realize I could also do the math myself but I’m far too lazy for that haha. Thanks.

I will second that; thank you for your prompt attention and fixing the issue (and not blaming it on some other entity/reason and leaving it to fester).

Hey,

As suspected, it was an error with the Ycharts download created by my edits. Should be good to go now. Of note, it was only the Key Data Screener, the other screeners looked ok after I did a spot check. The Key Data Screener was all kinds of messed up though - thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Hey there - let me look into this.

We get all our data from Ycharts which after having Yahoo, Zacks, and others - has proven to be the most reliable. They get all their data from Morningstar.

That being said, i just checked your STN example - seems like there is an issue with our data - but it may be issue on our end since we extract the data into our own files to run some of our own calculations. This week I removed a bunch of REITs and it may have messed up our screener. The data on Ycharts for example has STN with an EV/EBITA of 16.1 - so...let me go check.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
