Do either of you have any thoughts on how much more this may affect share price in the next 4 – 6 months? Would $38-40 be realistic if WTI oil stays in the $75-85 range.

The company's earnings report was very bullish. It's interesting, because Suncor released not too long ago that they were going to take somewhat of a conservative route when it comes to dividend growth. Taking 2-3 years to get back to 2019 levels. But as we saw, the company just reinstated the 2019 dividend in a single quarter. This is absolutely critical, as the dividend cut was very likely what was causing Suncor to lag its peers.

Obviously we don't make price predictions here at Stocktrades. I believe it's generally a poor way to invest. Instead we should focus on buying strong underlying companies and not worry about 6-12 month targets.

But if you were to force me to answer? $38-40 is very realistic if oil can maintain that price point.
