EARK ETF

Hi all – I’m a new member here and its nice to see a vibrant community.

I have 150 units of EARK.NE ( Canadian version ) in my margin account with Quest Trade but heard the ETF has shut down in Canada. My money is locked and the fund is greyed out in quest trade. Please advise how I can get my money out.

Hey Sahas,

For now, there is nothing you can do. The EARK ETF is under a CTO - Cease Trade Order. They received the CTO because they missed the filling of their financial reports. According to their press release they have hired a new auditor and they'll have to work to get all their statements up to date and refiled at which point the CTO can be lifted and the ETF would subsequently behind trading. This can take months if not longer.

If by chance the fund decides to fold, then typically assets are liquidated and fund holders receive market value (minus fees) for their holdings.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to do at this moment but wait. Wish I had better news, but that is about all you can do.
