What do you think of Emerge Funds? What do you think of CARS.B, LIFE.B and CYBR in particular?

I believe you mean Evolve. Emerge was a previous fund manager here in Canada that got caught up in a myriad of issues due to capital deficiencies.

These are very hyper-specific ETFs that primarily revolve around the success of some very niche areas.

As most high yield structured funds do, LIFE.B has underperformed simply owning a normal healthcare index fund. Not really all that big of a fan.

As for CARS.B, the fund has been around for 6-7 years now and it has really failed to generate any sort of meaningful AUM. Currently sits at around $26.4M. I'd begin to question whether or not the fund keeps going if they can't grow it meaningfully, and with the auto sector under a lot of pressure, particularly on the EV front, I'm not sure when this one would have a meaningful shift in sentiment.

As for CYBR, it's certainly an interesting ETF, and is probably the only one out of the 3 I do like. With the rapid development of technology these days, primarily via digital methods, there is no doubt going to be extensive demand for cybersecurity systems, particularly with the development of artificial intelligence. The only downfall of this fund is there aren't really a lot of "huge" players in the space, so it has a ton of mid and small cap exposure. It will be volatile no doubt.
