ETF: XIT.TO

Is this ETF overvalued, in your opinion? How is an ETF priced? Does it go up and down depending on what people are willing to pay for it or is its price actually derived/set somehow by the prices of the stocks that make it up? I want to get some tech stocks into my portfolio, but am reluctant because they are so expensive and either don’t pay dividends or pay skimpy ones that aren’t worth the risk of the cost if the company loses its edge. I think an ETF would be the only way I’d feel comfortable buying into the sector because of how close I am to retirement. Are there others you know of that are in CDN dollars? Thanks for your help!

Hey Dan,

Just a question about your suggestion above.

It would be hard for someone to buy all four of the top holdings in XIT, especially given that shopify goes for over $1000, so isn't it more affordable to buy XIT where its around $30 and you add the diversity?

Thanks.
