Fts vs ema

FTS has been one of the best utilities in the country for more than a decade. This is why it is on our foundational list instead of smaller caps like Emera. In our opinion, FTS also has one of the best management teams and has consistently met 3YR guidance over the years.

Most utilities have been trending lower as higher rates persistent. This isn't unique to FTS - and aside from a slight bump recently, has underperformed FTS over 3 and 6 month periods. In our opinion, that timeframe is too short to make any type of decision, but just illustrates that all utilities are being impacted by the current rate environment.

With that in mind, I'd still go with FTS which i own and will continue to own for years to come.
