I only had $1000 in Good Natured Products Inc (GDNPF.U), so it’s not going to be an earth-shattering loss if it’s a total loss, but I’m wondering what happens now after yesterday’s sale news.

Sounds like you aligned your overall risk tolerance to this small cap speculative play well. I too am on the hook with this one since I owned it, but it was a very small portion of my portfolio (0.5%) so the loss is a non-factor to me, especially with this years runup in the markets.

Effectively, I'd consider it lost money. The company looks to have sold its assets off to a European company and will now be dissolved.
