The EU has been fed up with Google's dominance for quite some time now. They've fined them pretty consistently for the last 7-8 years. Some penalties get upheld, some get overturned.

Google tends to be a buying opportunity on pretty much all of these types of news events. The fine will likely take years to resolve, and makes up a very small portion of Google's cash flow.
