Healthcare going online…

With Trudeau’s announcement of an investment in taking health care online, I wondered if you’d have any insight into how investors can take advantage of that. I see WELL.TO is already way up since the covid 19 outbreak and also wondering what else might be out there in the online healthcare industry??

Hey Jenn. Did a lot of digging on this over the weekend. It is extremely hard to find Canadian companies, ones that are publicly traded at least, that will benefit from this.

There are so many telehealth providers in Canada (GOeVisit,eCare,Akira etc), but in terms of companies that you can purchase on the stock market, WELL seems to be the most prominent company that deals with it.

Now, an interesting option would be Telus, as they've been doing telehealth for quite some time. However, it is a very small contributor as of right now, and I wouldn't expect any large scale returns because of it.

Hey Jenn. This is actually a really good question, and one that we're going to have to dive into. We'll keep you updated with anything we find.
