Ultimately yes, they would benefit, and Trump has stated he plans to at least try. I believe he has contacted TC Energy about this.

The difficulty here is TC Energy has officially terminated the KXL project and faced legal challenges in seeking compensation. Reinitiating the project would require a strategic shift and significant investment, and I'm kind of wondering if the company would ever really want to do it.

The chance of it being revived and the company going through MORE regulatory, environmental, and legal issues is a possibility.

To answer your question of would it benefit the companies, yes it would. However, would it benefit them enough that they'd go through a revival process.... I'm not so sure.
