This is not a question but since I can’t access Discord I am posting here. Some years ago (10-15) I was Controller at a small retail chain and we were looking at changing our accounting system. Lightspeed was suggested to us and I did some research, mainly into customer reviews. At that time the reviews weren’t very good. A lot of their customers were unhappy with them and the bulk of the complaints were as follows:
1. The system had numerous bugs or problems
2. Lightspeed seemed more interested in adding new functions than they did about fixing the existing problems
3. When customers realized they were getting the benefits they were sold on and expected; there was no way to get out of the contract.
4. I believe there were also problems with their payment processor which again was locked in.
5. They had trouble accessing support and in many cases the support people that contacted them were either unskillful or unable to fix the problems

Since this was many years ago, I went on line recently to see what customers were presently saying. I found that the majority of customers were giving Lightspeed a high rating (4 or 5 out of 5) but there was also too high a percentage that gave them a 1 or 2;

This of course is of more interest to persons interested in subscribing to Lightspeed than buying the stock, but for anyone interested, I would suggest they research the reviews.

A lot of company's have red flags ...you just have to find them. Just be cause they are giving the numbers, doesn't mean its the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Drinking the Kool Aid has consequences !

Well, reviews can certainly help an investor make a decision if they are egregiously bad, but a good mix of excellent/poor reviews is really not out of the ordinary for most companies. You simply cannot please everyone.

It's hard for us to comment on activities that have gone on 10-15 years ago. There are a lot of companies that are excellent today that may have not been a decade ago.
