Model Portfolio

Hi,

With the way things are in the market will it be possible to get updated version of your model portfolios please? I watched your released  video today and you said to stay away from SHOP but you still have it in your model portfolio so I was wondering what else would you suggest to skip from the portfolio and if there’s going to an updated version soon. I am aggressive millenial. Thank.

Hi there,

We typically update our portfolios on a bi-annual basis. The portfolios are set up for long-term holdings and not short-term trading. Not all holdings within said portfolio are good value buys today and we do re-balance these portfolios when we review.

As an example, SHOP has been sold a number of times across the different portfolios and re-deployed into other holdings. As mentioned in the video, we would not necessarily sell SHOP, but we would not rush out and buy it at these prices either. That being said, if investors bought SHOP today - I believe investors would be happy in five years from now.

If we remove a company from the portfolio, its because our investment thesis has changed we see little to no growth, even over the long term. Otherwise, it is likely we will keep it in the portfolio and only make minor moves as we re-balance.

If you have any questions about any stocks listed on our portfolios - ask away. Likewise, you can see where they rank on our screener, and you can get an idea of where it stands from a valuation stand point.
