I really don't mind Mullen Group. It is one of the better trucking companies and trades at decent valuations. The reason why we have never really highlighted it or talked much about it is due to our preference for TFI International. It has been the best performer in the industry and has a stronger growth profile. Mullen has performed very well itself - it just pales in comparison to TFII. It also has also delivered lower ROE, ROA and ROIC than TFII.
That said, Mullen is by far the most attractive in terms of valuation and trades at a ~30% discount to historical averages. That is likely due to the fact that TFII has much better growth expectations moving forward. All in all, MTL is not a bad company and is pretty solid in my books.
