Natural Gas – Recent American Policy

I am gravely concerned about the Biden administrations recent decision about exports. As a Canadian, I invest in our resources including companies like Enbridge and TransCanada. Can we use our own upcoming export terminal to balance out any restrictions by the U.S. and will our mid-stream companies be able to continue without a major financial punch? A bit to digest but probably one of the most important current issues.
Thanks,
Dave

To be honest at this point it's a bit too early to speculate as to what the impact would be. It looks to me, at least, that they're only putting a pause on new projects. Projects under construction and finished products will continue as is.

I think they're attempting to slow down the rapid adoption of LNG and the construction of projects until they can figure out its overall impacts on the environment.

Biden seems to be all over the map as to the decisions he has made in regards to the climate and fossil fuels in general, so it's really hard to gauge what is going to happen.
