Questions Sparked from a Thread on TRP

Hi Dan, I have a question that was sparked by another thread that I could no longer add to: does your exit strategy out of some of your oil and gas stocks include selling ENB? Thanks.

All my questions seem to have underlying agendas- lol- so yes, it does answer what I needed. I want to own a pipeline, but not two. My stomach recoils when I think about owning anything oil and gas, and like many others, I did associate Enbridge and TRP with producers, which I have since learned is incorrect so I did add ENB to my portfolio. I watched your vid on the oil and gas sector (can't remember name) and thought from the content that TRP was a better choice, but I was in the red on ENB at the time. Now I am not, so have some decisions to make! Thanks for your insight. I do appreciate that you and Mat are able to get back so quickly as I see the question section getting more active. Take care of yourselves and have a nice holiday!

It's a tough question to answer, and a decision I'll likely make once the sector settles down and we get back to normalcy. Considering all my oil and gas stocks have taken a beating, I plan to hold on to them for the next few years, at least until demand has resurfaced and travels gets back to normal.

However, if I did end up selling Enbridge, it would simply be because my exposure to the sector is too large and I prefer TRP over ENB when it comes to oil and gas exposure.

It wouldn't be because I think holding Enbridge is a poor decision on a company level. So, if your true underlying question is whether or not I think Enbridge is a solid company to own, my answer would be absolutely it is.

It's possible as well, depending on the state of producers, I may decide to hold exclusively pipelines as well, maybe going 75%/25% TRP ENB split.

That's a decision I'm just not going to make until market headwinds in the sector have at least calmed down.

Hope this answers your question!
